Newsletter

I am beginning work on the next newsletter- Any contribution will be appreciated.

PS- I need pics from Farb Fest 09

Duke

Lions & Tigers & Panzers (Oh My!)

A few brief comments & my after action report (event write up to follow in Newsletter).

Pros-
Unit execution on the battlefield & moral remain high. We kicked butt on Saturday, & gave them a dammed good bloody nose on Sunday.
The new “Shinnies” performed like veteran troops
Our veteran’s treatment of the “Shinnies” was courteous & welcoming.

Cons-
Camping- This has always been an area of potential improvement- our camp was slack. This time, it was not our fault. The “Farb Fest 09” atmosphere made it silly to try to enforce 19th century camp discipline- but I’m afraid it did not make a great impression with the new troops.

Farb Fest 09- Need I say more? Perhaps for Farb Fest 10, They will include Clone Wars Reenactors or Trekkies

Amenities were non-existent.

Breaking a sponge on Sunday sucked. At least we cleared it out of the tube.

The gun trailer needs another new tire before JEB Stuart.

Comments:
My humble thanks go to all.

Regards,
Duke
