Special Order # 0339:

Under the authority of Article IV Section C of the Columbia Artillery by-Laws, the following personnel action is ordered:

I n recognition of the demonstrated leadership, conspicuous valor, and steadfast fidelity to our Brotherhood, Sergeant-Major Benajah Eure is discharged from the Confederate Army.

He is promoted to 2nd Lieutenant (CSMC); & appointed Commander of CSMC personnel currently detached from Charlotte Naval Yard Barracks & serving attached to the 1st Artillery Battalion, Provisional Army of The Confederacy.

Following leave, Lieutenant Eure (CSMC) shall assume command duties on 15 November, & shall serve in said office until relieved by command.
